The elearning conference at Hyderabad went on well today. The conference was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards and CDAC. Many perspectives and updates were expressed. The most significant being those on the status of ISO IEC JTCI SC 36 by Ms.Reena Garg, Session on "Why Standards" by Mr.P.K.Gambhir of BIS, on NPTEL by Prof.Mangala SunderKrishnan of IIT, Madras, Dr.A.K.Rai of IIT, Karaghpur, Prof. V.N.Shukla of CDAC and Dr.Saratchandra Babu of CDAC, Bangalore.
