Joined at Manipal University as the HOD of their Sikkim Manipal Management and Commerce Courses on the 1st Oct.Spent most of the the time in intorductions and medical test in the afternoon. Something of interest at workplace.Have you heard of the pests at workplace?I had such an experience with my neighbour at my desk.I was busy in my own settling down problems.She first made a comment that I am very systematic after observing the way I noted down the names of the people I met at the office, their workroles and brief impressions. Then she insisted upon getting my attention and demanded that I tell her mlore about myself. I thought may be she was interested in me as a good colleague. But No, she wanted tell me that she was a PhD. How strange people can be! Once she had done that, she went into her cocoon, as if she had accomplished her objective.

I think I am going to have a lot of problems with the IT support in the office. The person incharge does not seem to have a clue about the problems involved in the MS Outlook and just keeps disappearing after a brief attempt at the problem.First Day at the office! Not bad one I think. Had a good meeting with the team in the morning.
